WWE 2K22 Rumored Details Hit Different: Cover Athlete, Release Date

WWE video game enthusiast are impatiently awaiting the January updates for WWE 2K22, the game that promises to “hit different,” and is so far looking to deliver. Sean Ross of Fightful Select announced that big news is to come this week, but as we draw closer to a new reveal, details may have been let out of the bag a bit sooner.

The trailer below share 10 ways WWE 2K22 plans to make a tremendous return to consoles, one including the Rey Mysterio showcase mode. Now, additional details have surfaced, unofficially, so to be taken with a grain of salt. A potential release date that equally leads down the road to WrestleMania, cover athlete, deluxe and collector’s edition and pre-order bonus news. A leak from TechnikNews journalist Nils Ahrensmeier shares that WWE 2K22 cover athlete will be none other than Mr. 619, Rey Mysterio, well deserved and most speculated since the initial teaser from WrestleMania 37 of Mysterio vs Cesaro. Allegedly, WWE 2K22 will release on Friday, March 11, 2022 with a Deluxe Edition and nWo 4-Life Edition dropping 3 days earlier, March 8, 2022. The Deluxe pre-order bonus appears to be the “Undertaker Immortal Pack” which will include three additional personas: Phantom Mask Undertaker, Lord of Darkness Undertaker, Boneyard Match Undertaker, MyFACTION EVO cards for Undertaker and MyFACTION Perks and Bonuses.
