NBA 2K21 Current-Gen Cover Athlete is Damian Lillard

While we’ve seen Zion Williamson perform a dunk that brought the rim to the floor and graphics that look to be next level from the Visual Concepts team, today we all received a glimpse of 1 of 3 cover athletes for NBA 2K21. Gracing the cover for current-gen platforms is none other than five-time NBA All-Star and Portland’s own Damian Lillard. Expect to see his skywalking dunk on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia, available for pre-order July 2nd. More importantly check out the trailer below!

“This is a special moment for me in my NBA career,” said Lillard. “I’ve been a fan of NBA 2K for years and love how they represent all aspects of basketball culture. I’m an avid 2K player so I’m honored to join the other NBA greats who have been on the cover. I’m grateful to all my fans and can’t wait for everyone to experience the game later this year.”

This isn’t Damian’s first time on an NBA cover as 2K Sports utilized Dame for NBA 2K Online 2, NBA Live 15, 2K’s only true competition that looks to release NBA Live 21 for new-gen platforms. It’s also fair to note this is only one of three of the cover athletes as the next star is to be revealed tomorrow, this time for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
