5 Things I’d like to see in WWE 2K23
As I think back to yesteryears of the WWE 2K series, there have been things added and taken away that made me wish we could have a revamp and plethora of things return in 2K23. While that list is long, I am sharing in this article the first 5 things that come to mind.
- First is the A.I. reactions during a match. Remember how you would reverse everything and cause the A.I. to roll out of the ring in frustration or walk back up the ramp in an attempt to quit the match? The little things matter and was absent in WWE 2K22. I’d love to see this return!
- Special Guest Referees.
I don’t think much else need to be said here. I am excited to see female referees included this year in WWE 2K22, but can we spectate a match inside the ring? - More creation slots.
We’re talking Titantrons, Logos and Downloadable opportunities. I believe the limitations are tied to PS4 and Xbox One bandwidth, where this should be expanded on the New Gen platforms. Without them, the overall experience feels limited due to the restraints. In the words of Ryback, Feed Me More! - An advance Universe Mode.
Placing them on a show is the easy part. Selecting them for the proper show can unfortunately become a hurdle. In the selection screen, it would be amazing to see the brand name wrestlers are assigned to based on the game save feature. Creating charts or memorizing who belongs where is extra wor for what can be a small update. But will we receive this much needed addition? - Triple Threats have become a curse due to the A.I.’s constant taunting in a match. Therefore, playing this feature has become disheartening. Can we get a simple fix here? If you ever run into on of these matches, you’ll notice just how frequent one of the wrestlers walks to a corner and taunt. Extremely unrealistic, but also a bug as this wasn’t an issue at launch.
Meanwhile, as we wait for more WWE 2K23 news, here’s a behind the scenes look at the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
