WWE Monday Night RAW-Cap 8/31
Who’s taking home the Gold at Night of Champions in Houston, Texas? Sting or Seth Rollins. The mind games began when Sting compared Seth to the King of Kings. A man that just wanted his legacy glorified in the form of a statue. Sting pushed the right buttons.
The buttons pushed Stephanie out to the ring because Hunter was talked about way too much to keep a comfortable taste in her mouth. But it’s when Cena came out to challenge Rollins for the United States Championship, the same night as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be defended. With no choice, Stephanie was to say it is so. Can Rollins beat the odds? We’ll find out in under two weeks.
Dolph and Rusev will not stop this feud that’s been going for quite some time. Specifically since Lana walked away. It’s now further fueled behind the Show off and Summer Rae doing something in the back. Summer claims that Dolph approached her in his birthday suit and Lana now feels betrayed. Could this be the ice breaker needed to destroy, no, CRUSH Lana? Time will tell.
The first Diva’s Beat the clock challenge took place to find out who would challenge Nikki Bella for the Diva’s Championship. While attempting to beat the previous time, you also have to win against team Bella. Becky managed to disarm Alicia Fox in 3:21. Charolette stepped up immediately after to challenge Brie Bella and cut the challenge time to 1:40. The biggest question ever became can Paige turn the page? See what I did there?
Page stepped in the squared-circle to face Sasha Banks, the boss of NXT. With a minute and forty seconds to go Paige failed to beat the clock. Charolette though will take on Nikki and hopefully win this awesome match with a bit of Flair that will take place at Night of Champions.
Feed this man more because Big Show wasn’t though enough to knock out the shell shocker himself. A choke slam and a spear from the Show and the big guy wasn’t enough as he kept pushing back. Don’t get me wrong because the Miz did interfere and congratulated Ryback after the victory. Ryback shell shocked the Big Show and seemed a bit confused, as did the Universe as to why Miz interfered.
Kevin Owens and Cesaro had another match, becoming a bit stale as its prolonged even past their PPV match. However they are both very innovative superstars that can truly entertain the WWE Universe. So there was much back and forth, along with a handful of amazing moments; but after Cesaro went ribs first into the announce table and a followed up pop-up power bomb ended it all. The winner tonight, Kevin Owens.
Braun Strowman, the newest member and dark sheep of the Wyatt family took on Dean Ambrose. Yes Dean is an unstable human being, but you’ll need a bit more sanity to know when to either quit or decline the match. Braun manhandled Dean and even taunted Roman to force a disqualition (Strowman Victorious). 2/3 of the most dominant team (Sheld) was dominated by one man. We can only hope Roman challenges this monster once and for all.
When New Day stepped out, my daughter said Xavier looked like Booker T (LOL). I was personally thinking of a black Lord Raiden from Mortal Kombat. They refused to allow the last table to be destroyed with chants of “Save the Tables” vs the Dudley’s “New Day Sucks.”
Bubba Ray had a lot to say and a lot to do with New Day, including a 3D with the help of Devon. Don’t know if they can, is New Day able? Only one way to find out, Devon, get the table! Oh my brother, oh Testify! It’s everything but announced officially, the titles will be for grabs at Night of Champions?
