WWE 2K15 – Do You Bo-Lieve?
So news has been absolutely everywhere circling the new installment for WWE 2K. We are being promised new graphics similar to the remarkable experience in NBA 2K14 and we can expect between 30-35 hours of commentary between Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole meaning that we won’t hear the same repetitive phrases. I don’t know about you, but I already screaming win, win!
We still have to wait to see just how far will 2K push the boundaries of WWE 2K15. I for one look to the day 2K’s technology will allow you to put yourself in the game similar to EA’s Gameface. I know it’s a long shot, but I heard it well by a superstar, all you have to do is “Bo Lieve!”
The announcement of select superstars in WWE 2K15 wasn’t exactly news. Finding out WCW superstars could be a feature is a move in the wrong direction (in my opinion) after reliving the Attitude Era that decimated the competition. With the special contract in place in the WWE, Sting as a preorder bonus isn’t too bad, but could be better.
I still question the Fall Count Anywhere matches; what will be defined this year as “anywhere?” How detailed will superstars look in full, ranging from jobbers to Star Dust to Bray Wyatt. Being able to see John Cena’s head in preparation for new-gen looks breathtaking, but will the technology be in “full” effect in the next few months or will we be on standby for another year?
Then there’s the man that screamed for Ice Cream Bars, the most popular man in sports entertainment that haven’t entertained in quite a while; CM Punk. With his WWE contract still in full affect, he (unlike Bray Wyatt) has the whole world in his hands. Will we see CM Punk one more time as a selectable character in WWE 2K15? I’m quite sure most WWE fans rather see Punk over the entire WCW roster. If you had to choose a preorder incentive, would you prefer CM Punk or Sting?
Can we see backstage interviews make a return, more interactive moments between matches or even WWE titles defended during regular TV Show events in the Universe. Universe mode has been the most lopsided feature with so much potential never that tapped in. If only 2K can add new features without sacrificing what’s already successful will 2K15 become the face of the series.
I believe that 2K knows what’s best for business, showing proof this October.
If 2k can deliver a detailed universe mode. Sting, cm punk and nXT. I’ll give it a 10. Basically anything outside of an update would blow people’s minds. I really believe that this is there one shot to pull people back that have gotten away from the series and wow people that have never left. Time is now
