Warner Bros 4th Time Pulling The Plug In the Last Year
There really isn’t a nice way to put this and deliver the news to fans. Batman Return to Arkham has been delayed for unforeseen reasons. Warner Bros. are yet again not happy with the progress in the remaster of Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. But let’s keep it real, this is the third canceled WB title in the last year.
“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
We hit a brick wall last year with Mortal Kombat X for fans anticipating a Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release, literally a week before launch the Arkham Knight Collector’s edition was scrapped and shortly post launch the PC version of Arkham Knight was wiped from existence.
Now this is another inconvenience and we can only cross our fingers for whatever’s next in WB’s lineup. Should we drop our hopes now on Injustice 2? In no way are we upset with the team needing to do what’s best for the production and remastering, but it’s a rare and unfortunate pattern beginning to stir .
