PS Vita: ThrustMaster Review
Need something to keep your PS Vita secured with style? Then you should head to your nearest retailer and pick up the PS Vita: ThrustMaster.
We received two cases, one being the more popular, Uncharted ThrustMaster. This case perfectly fits the theme of the Vita title “Golden Abyss” as its logo is smoothly the opus-themed artwork. There’s also a dog tag on the bottom right corner, giving the case owner the alias “Nathan Drake.”
The other case is your amazing Call of Duty meets every other badass spec op gaming title! It’s called the S.P.F., which stands for Special Player Forces. It as well comes in all black and silver with a unique dog tag titled “S.P.F.” Even though the designs are pretty sleek, that’s not the important part. It’s all about the protection it can provide.
Both cases are surrounded with grey high-density foam. It’s unbelievable how sturdy and well placed your PS Vita becomes as you gently push it in its section. I was completely nervous at testing the secureness of my Vita, but I took a deep breath and took the ThrustMaster for a test run.
Realistically, things happen. Weather we want them to or not, they do. Your devices slip out of hands, falls, crack and depressingly break. You don’t have to worry about the nature of your Vita with ThrustMaster…. as much!
I opened the ThrustMaster and literally flipped it upside down. Your Vita remains motionless in the protection of the high-density foam. I also closed it, sliding the locks to seal the ThrustMaster shut and tossed it across the room. Let me mention, not with intensions to destroy this Augmenting Genie of a system, but to test an accidental drop while secured by the case. Results were better than I expected, especially with the lip open! I truly though the PS Vita would slowly shuffle its way out the foam, but no. It remained in pocket.
The top half of the ThrustMaster comes with 6 foam storage areas to lock-in games on the go, as well as 2 slots for PS Vita mini-sticks. Each slot including the Vita itself have small gaps to reach in and simply pull the games and the Vita safely out of the designed components.
The S.P.F. ThrustMaster is retailed at $29.99 while the Uncharted is set at $34.99. If you need a nifty case to carry not only the Vita, but the games as well, Allow the ThrustMaster to be your first and final choice!
