PlayStation 5 – The Future of Gaming Revealed

The day has finally come where 25 years in the making, the 5^th generation is taking over every news feed, and for good reason. This has been a crazy 2020 to say the least, but we’re excited to share that Sony has officially revealed the PlayStation 5, and yes there’s plenty to see! While there are so many unique titles that’s been revealed today like Resident Evil 8, NBA 2K21 and Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West (available on IRB Gamer), we want to talk about the PlayStation 5 and the smile that you likely have on your face at this very moment!

Now the first question you’ll likely ask now is “how much?” Easy young grasshopper, time will reveal all things, including the price of the PlayStation 5. But we did take a look at the console, Dualsense controller, dualshock charging station, headset, camera and media remote. More importantly, we saw a brief look at some of the amazing graphics, including the reveal of Spider-Man Miles Morales, scheduled to release Holiday 2020, alongside GodFall. Guess it is impossible not mention a few games here and there. But in terms of the PlayStation 5, there’s a unique twist to consider.

In Sony’s reveal of the PS5, we seen a physical and digital version of the console. While some may be fans of the digital route, there is one thing to tightly consider. Yes, the console may be a bit cheaper now, but the long game will be more of an exercise. Just think now of how the Xbox One vs the Digital option is going now, or even your PS4 online purchases. While the deals appear here and there, let’s not forget of the retail companies that offer promotions that are way cheaper when buying physical games. Just take the NBA 2K20 sale that has been $19.99 for quite some time, meanwhile still at a suggested price of $59.99 on the PlayStation 4. You may want your options left up to you in the end to save down the line.

Another solid mention for PlayStation 4 and 5, while there’s still no word on Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games shared with everyone PS5 users will soon have access to a Free GTA Online as a standalone. And while you wait, there’s $1,000,000 waiting for you right now, and every month to follow on GTA V on PlayStation 4, all migrating to your PS5 as it launches!
