With you may the force be! Pinball it is. Time of greatness, many there shall be. Okay, Okay, I’ll step away from the Yoda gig, though I think I was quite on a roll there.

Zen Studios have been hard at work on new tables that no longer only reach out to gamers by consoles, but by Android, iOS, 3DS, Vita and more options currently under development.

Star-wars-pinball-clone-wars10 new maps are planned within the new tables, including Luke and Anakin Skywalker, Boba Fett and we’re sure, others will be announced down the line. This first pack however will relive Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett and The Clone Wars.

The executors star destroyer is the setting for Empire’s Strike Back. Just like every other table, there’s plenty going on all at once, so you have to remember to focus on the ball.

Things get all the way serious once you’ve managed to smash in the center bank enough to fully spell out Star Wars. Once you’ve managed to do so, you’re given the option of playing missions or movie scenes. Some are simply mini missions similar to the movie, while you may even grace the presence of Darth Vador himself.

The Clone Wars stay true to its feel, honoring the cartoon, animated feel from the original film. Then finally there’s Boba Fett, the best saved for last, in the first pack that is. Boba Fett took sides with both the Galactic Empire and the Hutts, proclaiming himself as the best bounty hunter, including his capturing of Han Solo, assuming you’ll make it this far. Boba Fett was a bit more of a challenge. It’s all reenacted here based on how you cleared the table’s lettering, Hutts or Empire.

Graphics are one of Zen Studios key focuses, and truly visualization is everything. The 3D tables literally pop out at you to where you almost lose the opportunity of ranking high in the leaderboards, simply because the characters in the pinball game moves while you play and the table are captivating.

There isn’t much audio to go by other than small bits of voice-overs  which were awesome.  The background theme takes a normal pinball experience and makes it feel like every ball is your star wars pinball 3lifeline.

Hopefully you understand, other than my personal favorite, Ms. Spolsion Man, this set is worth adding to your collection. And if you have access to Android or an iOS device, which 99% of you should, the table are available there as well so you can play on the go.

Not sure how Zen Studios continue to pull this off, but they certainly do a darn good job.

So buy you must!
