It’s always a breath of fresh air to step away from the zombie killing, drag racing, fatality utilizing games and switch over to the most awesome past time. I’m talking before there were arcade machines, before the consoles. If you’re lost, I’m referring to pinball. Now, for this particular DLC, take the best company to reinvent pinball and mix it a few plants and zombies and you have, well, Plants vs. Zombies Pinball.
“It just so happened that a group of PopCap creatives were planning their next big project and were highly passionate about doing a pinball table. Game design documents were produced, art was sketched, and the idea was presented at “PopCamp,” an initiative allowing people to work on side projects that they’ve been dreaming about. The project was enthusiastically approved, with the exception that no time be wasted developing a pinball engine.”
Gameplay is always top-notch. Even with the short breaks that take place in between each DLC, the maps, engine and 3D realism that makes Pinball FX the genuine must have and continues to keep drawing you back in. You have genuine 3D zombies fighting plants (Sunflowers and Chompers) and pinballs. If you ever played PvZ before, you should be familiar with the Melon-Pult. It as well makes a special appearance in a mini-game destroying any zombies that tries to make a stand.
There are also a few new achievements to build up your Achievement score or add to your trophy case. The new DLC is very inexpensive and guaranteed to draw you in. Sadly, Pinball FX isn’t a mainstream title that you’ll always have the urge to sit down and play. But when you do, you’re sucked in!
