NBA 2K21 Shows the Current-Gen MyCAREER and Neighborhood
One week away from the new edition of NBA 2K21, 2K Sports has officially revealed the neighborhood and teased your new path in MyCAREER. The neighborhood appears to be a bit different, which should excite plenty to the 2K community looking to switch courts. 2K Beach, at least in the trailer, looks to have unique courts, a place to simply hang out with other 2K players, skateboard or ride your ride around the block a few times. Personally, when I hear 2K Beach, I think of a pier with an astounding view of a lake or ocean. How far will they go, specifying this is the current-gen version? With the Next-Gen version around the corner, we might see what was meant to be, or lacked.
As for the MyCAREER, it so far appears to be the same song and dance, starting your climb from high school to playing for one of ten college programs. Your MyPLAYER, known as Junior will need to do everything to impress the scouts and NBA Teams to become one of the greatest players and a potential legend. As for special guests, players will be joined by MyCAREER’s star-studded cast with performances from Jesse Williams, Dijmon Hounsou, Mirelle Enos, Michael K. Williams, cover athletes Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson, and more.
Next week, we will all have our chance to start a new chapter in NBA 2K21. The demo is available now and proves to have one heck of a learning curve with the new shot stick. While not receiving positive feedback from the community, Mike Wang has stepped in a few times to ensure 2K21 will still be a great experience.
