NBA 2K13 First DLC Announced
Calling all ballers! It’s time to step out of the yesteryears of 2K12 and prepare for NBA 2K13 as the title drops October 2nd, 2012. Future owner of the Wii U™, which should be on hand at E3 this year can expect a release date on its platform as well.
2K Sports will be awarding gamers that pre-order NBA 2K13 with a downloadable NBA All-Star package that will allow you to play the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend line up in Houston, TX. What does this consist of you ask? The Foot Locker Three Point Shootout, BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest featuring all-new intuitive, pick-up-and-play controls, all presented by Sprite.
Specifically in 2K13, you can take recent all-stars and have them challenge the NBA classic players in both three Point Shootouts and Slam Dunk Contest. Rising Stars and the NBA All-Star game will be made up of the 2012 All-Stars. However, as soon as the 2013 All-Star players are announced, there will be a dynamic update, giving you access to the new lineup.
““The NBA All-Star package is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to fans for their ongoing love of the NBA 2K series,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “This content provides a ton of depth and value to our fans, and it’s just the beginning of a lot of big news about NBA® 2K13.””
As we can expect to hear some b-ball news at E3, we’ll keep you updated.
