We’ve seen plenty of resurrections of classic franchises throughout this console generation. DuckTales Remastered, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and Shadowrun are all remakes of old school games, revamped for today’s demographic that have never seen 8-bit graphics in their life. Gamescom has produced a trailer for yet another title given a spit shine with a new engine. Shadow Warrior first launched in 1997 for PC and was developed by 3D Realm Studios, the guys who made Duke Nukem 3D. This time around Shadow Warrior is being developed by Polish studio Flying Wild Hogs, but they seem to have maintained the essences of arcade-style shooters of days long past by keeping the over-the-top gunplay and cheesy humor!
Shadow Warrior comes out on September 26th, 2013 for PC and next-gen consoles at a later date.
