WWF Wrestlefest was an arcade game that was released way back in 1991. It featured 11 wrestlers along with two button fighting. This game was cherished by WWF fans back in its prime and it is back in the form of WWE Wrestlefest. The gameplay is mostly unchanged with the biggest change being that it is on touch devices and not an arcade machine. This version comes with eight wrestlers ranging from current superstars like John Cena, and Randy Orton to legends like Jake “The Snake” Roberts and “Macho Man” Randy Savage. You can wrestle any combination of these wrestlers in any of six match types in five different arenas. The arenas are Raw, Smackdown, Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble and Saturday Night’s Main Event.
You can also choose a superstar and put your moves to the test. You must complete challenges in order to win five different WWE championships. Arcade games are always more fun with friends and WWE Wrestlefest uses Game Center on iOS devices to allow you to play with friends from anywhere. If none of your favorite superstars are included in the game THQ is going to be releasing new DLC every month. They have already released one pack which has CMPunk, Shawn Michaels, The Survivor Series arena as well as others. Also just announced another new DLC pack “The Broski Pack” adds the “Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder, Sgt. Slaughter, Wrestlemania XXVII arena and more. WWE Wrestlefest is available now on iPhone and iPad and is said to be coming to XBLA, PSN, PC and Android before the end of the year.
