Coming on the heels of the launch of the next generation home consoles, Konami and Kojima Productions released the new 12-minute Extended Gameplay Video showcasing a “Side Ops” day mission where Big Boss must use his renowned stealth tactics in broad daylight, making detection an even greater threat. This daytime setting however give viewers a clear look at Metal Gear Solid V’s new gameplay mechanics, weather conditions, refines AI, and the pristine graphics showcase the power of the FOX Engine.
PlayStation system users are in for a treat as Hideo Kojima also announced that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will feature an exclusive mission for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The “Déjà vu” mission is a throwback to the original Metal Gear Solid, allowing you to play as Solid Snake (in all of his low-polygon, pixelated glory) in the high definition world of Ground Zeroes.
METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES will be released in Spring 2014 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 systems, as well as the Xbox 360 and Xbox One systems. The game will be available in retail stores nationwide on current generation systems for the MSRP of $29.99 or via download for $19.99. For PlayStation 4 system and Xbox One, the game can be downloaded for $29.99 suggested retail price.
