Ubisoft is taking this game seriously, which is great. Unfortunately that means that one of the most anticipated games to release this year has had its release date pushed back. Originally expected to release in the 3rd of 4th quarter of 2014, that time has passed and now a new release date is scheduled for 2015.
While there is no exact date for the release next year, we can still take solace in the fact that it will continue to be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
In Tom Clancy’s the Division, a dark pandemic sweeps through New York City, slowly eating away emergency services and the population until basic services fail. Only days after, with little food or water, society collapses into chaos.
The Division, a classified unit of tactical agents, is activated to help prevent the full fall of society. Along the way the agents find themselves caught up in conspiracy, as usually happens, where they must fight against the sickness and whatever has caused it.
This game differs from the normal FPS action game we are used to seeing from the Tom Clancy branded games. In The Division, instead of a linear play through the world is open and persistent, providing an RPG experience where exploration and player progression are rewarded and essential to the story. With added PvP, player trading and the ability to seamlessly join in with friends, Ubisoft has a lot on their plate.
