Titanfall Review Is It The Next-Gen Experience You’ve Waited For

Normally journalist like to give you a small backstory to the developers and the game at hand, but this is a title that needs no introduction. If you own an XBOX One chances are you just nodded in agreement. If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, your sign of agreement involves you shaking your head in disgust that EA has already confirmed one of the greatest game “so far” to grace the Next-Gen consoles will not be on the Sony platform.

It’s Titanfall, a game that has the gaming industry going into frenzy. Respawn Entertainment has just upped the expectations of what graphics should look like, what the gaming experience should feel like, what the lasting impression should do to the gaming community, and what the buy in to next-gen should’ve looked like back in November 2013.

Multiplayer only is the straight shooter in this experience. It’s a high adrenaline robotic warfare that walks away from the typical Call of Duty shenanigans. 6 on 6 with titans that can drop in at any moment is story based but a bit hard to follow.

This immediately opens a can of worms on the options, simply because there’s a huge lack of choices from this online only title. No private matches are legitimately able to be created. Most gamers attempt adding friends in via Xbox Live Party with little success rates. Free for all is MIA as well.

For a game to pull out of creating any single player campaign is a bit ludacris. Believing that the consumer preferred multiplayer over a solo story has turned Titanfall into a “fun for the moment” experience rather than well-rounded.

Xbox One has finally pushed a release to get the console more suited in the console war. Respawn could always make adjustments to improve the overall visual of Titanfall. But if you’ve questioned buying the Xbox One, you now undoubtedly have your reason now.
