Rockstar Games have answered my questions regarding Bullet Time and how mechanics work. Bullet Time is the heart and soul of Max Payne and will clearly shine come May 2012.
In the video, Rockstar discusses why the Bullet Time is essential. Also there’s a few new features such as camera angles. Depending on how close or far, even the type of weapon being used will determine the cutscene presented when getting the final kill after an ambush or wasting a small squad. Also witth Bullet Time, you can manipulate the speed of the bullet with a slow motion camera option.
Good usage of physics will definately keep the gamestyle unique. For example, a quick dive in Bullet Time to take out a few henchmen, and a quick roll over to lay waste to anyone standing by while still in slow-mo, not even giving them a chance to get a shot off. That’s only in the movies, not in the game; unless developed by Rockstar!
