According to Sony: “There was a manufacturing issue with a misprinted disc at Sony Computer Entertainment America and the wrong version of the Shaun White Skateboarding PlayStation 3 game was shipped to retailers. We’re working with Ubisoft to correct the issue. New PS3 copies of the game will be shipped to North American retailers by Thursday, Oct. 28 and it will be available by that weekend.”
All I can say is, if you own a Playstation 3 and you had it pre-ordered, I’m sorry. Apparently the code in the recalled version must be ancient or something. Just imagine if they didn’t catch their mistake! You would be running along a park somewhere in the game with your friends and then all of a sudden you fall through a hole in the map! Not only that, but your Playstation 3 freezes into infinity, sending fizzles of sparks flying everywhere before your very eyes! So then, the sparks catch fire to your flooring or entertainment center and before you know it, you’re homeless. Thank you Shaun White! You ruined their lives.
Luckily, that has all been resolved. While I don’t personally believe that the effects of a bad game would have been that detrimental, something must have really been wrong for that release to get pulled back a few days. Let’s just all hope this is the last time Ubisoft and Sony drop the ball on us.
