At this year’s Computex, a place where companies go to show off all their neat new PC gadgetry, Rosewill showed up with a giant sack of “fuck yes.” I’m a PC gamer at heart and anyone that plays PC games knows that half the fun is in your hands, the other half is in your case. Rosewill didn’t disappoint this year as it showed up with some sweet looking inventory to make all PC gamers, ok maybe some PC gamers, drool. First on the list, and of course my favorite thing to check out, are the computer cases.
This particular case, appropriately called the Throne, is one heck of a looker. With what appears to be 9 Hard Drive Bays and three 5.25in Drive bays, this Mid Tower case is what can only be described as “boss”. It also has 2 USB 3.0 ports and what appears to be 4 USB 2.0 ports. It doesn’t skimp on cooling either as it has 6 fans in total, including what appears to be four 120mm fans and the mother of all 200 (?)mm fans, clinging sweetly to the top of the case. It looks sturdy and well put together with slots for cable management and an easy access for the installing that new Blu-ray drive you’ve been looking at. Personally, I prefer more sleek case designs, but between the case I have now and this one, my room would be glowing red from Throne’s LED lights instead of the blue it glows now.
Next in line we have the series of power supplies.
With names reminiscent of the Avengers, names like Fortress, Hercules, and Tachyon ,all of these new Rosewill power supplies are 80 Plus Platinum meaning they can perform at 80% efficiency, even while under a 100% load. It’s too bad there isn’t much information about them right now other than their efficiency rating and that one of them looks to be modular. Once Computex is finished though, we’ll be able to know the other specifics like their wattage.
Last but not least we have the RK-9100 Gaming keyboard series. Again, not much information on these with the exception of knowing they are back-lit and come in matte black and ivory. Still though they are pretty cool to look at.
