With XBOX 360 gamers about 3 weeks out until the release of the Resident Evil 6 Demo, Capcom puts a nice, two part gameplay together for your viewing. Zombies don’t take bullets without having a backstory , and this one starts with the President being shot by Leon.
The gameplay feature some intense moments, detailed graphics, raw emotions with the right audio and voice overs. It also highlights a lazy Leon, as you see him possibly showing his age as he’s leaning over everything; either that or fatigue.
Another interesting piece in the gameplay is the inventory on the right hand corner. Based on the layout, it’s likely to assume that it’s Health, Special Moves, Ammo and a weapon inventory. The icons on the further right is the number of herbs you’ve collected and additional ammo. This is a nice confirmation that we can expect full inventory access to be on-screen, somewhat similar to Operation Raccoon City.
In a few weeks, we’ll be able to determine specifics on the control schemes and replay value. Though I can already imagine Capcom will place gamers in one of the most intense parts of RE6 to guarantee buy in for those in doubt.
However, there’s a new system used to break away from the flesh eaters. A meter appears along with an analogue icon where you’ll need to toggle to freedom before becoming one of them. You’ll also see a few nifty dodging options which is activated by using your right trigger.
So what we have to work with so far is that you’re accompanied by Elena Harper, CIA Agent, with unknown intentions. All you know is that you have a “lead” at a Cathedral, at least that’s what she said!
