In Knack players take on the roll of Knack, a creature composed of ancient relics with mysterious powers. Knack can pull relics he finds into his body making him both bigger and more powerful. The more relics you collect the bigger Knack gets, transforming him ino a 3ft. tall ginormous destructive creature.
As you play through Knack you will find relics to increase his size as well as Sunstone Crystals. These Sunstone Crystals slowly fill up the gauges on the top right of your screen eventually giving you the ability to use a super move. Once you fill up one of 3 gauges you can use one of your three super moves. You will also be able to collect elemental relics as well. These give you special powers depending on the element you pull into your body. For example if you find FROST elemental relics you will turn into a blue-ish looking Knack. This relic gives you a second bar that acts kind of like a shield giving you a better chance of survival. With the frost relics you wont actually lose any health until all the frost disappears. You almost appear to be melting which is a pretty awesome looking effect.
Over all Knack has really great graphics, simple gameplay and even though the voice work is not the greatest the story is really good. It has a very childish feeling and would probably be better for the kids in your house. But honestly me and my husband had a blast playing this title. It is the perfect title for parents to play with their children. You can set this game up for your child and the second they start having difficulties you just grab the second controller and hop in. It has a drop in feature and the secondary character is more or less a healer. You can give your life to player 1 healing them and ultimately making it much easier for them to play without dying. Which makes it perfect for young kids to play. And best of all they wont even realize you are helping them.
There is also an app you can download for Knack. It is a mini-game you can play on your phone or tablet that you can unlock new gadgets to use in game. You simply link your PSN account to the app on your phone and away you go. Everytime you log into you PS4 to play Knack all your new items will be added for you to use in game.

We have all seen the trailers, gameplay footage and screen shots prio to the release of Killzone 4 Shadow Fall. So we all have witnessed the graphical potential of the NEW gen console, the PlayStation 4. And this is the true selling point of Killzone.
Killzone 4 Shadow Fall, just like the previous 3 titles, is a first person shooter. Fans will see the return of some of the regular weapons such as the stA-52 Assault Rifle and the stA-18 pistol as well as view new ones like the OWL. The OWL is an hovering attack drone that can attack and stun enemies. It can also deploy a zip line to allow the player to escape enemies or access other wise unaccessable areas. It can also hack terminals or alarms to prevent the enemy from sending reinforcements. This can all be done by simply sliding your finger along the newly added touch pad on the PS4 controller. A new feature which definitely takes some getting use to.
The story In Shadow Fall takes place about 30 years after the story of Killzone 3 and shows the tension between the Vektans and Helghast reach its boiling point. But for some reason even though you would expect it to be an exciting on the edge of yours seat story, it just isn’t. It isn’t captivating at all. I did not find myself drawn into the story and actually I quickly lost interest.
Overall Killzone is just as over dramatic as its predecessors. It is a graphical phenomena. It is simply beautiful. But this can only make up for what it lacks in story for so long. If you are not a KillZone fan this game will fall flat, beautifully flat.

Resogun is the succesor to Super Stardust HD and Super Stardust Delta. And has that classic “Asteroid” feeling, but with better graphics and 3D animations. It is also very reminiscent of other Classic Arcade titles like Space Invaders. Resogun was not only an exclusive launch title but also a freebie for all PlayStation Plus members. Or for you non PlayStation Plus users a mere $15.
Resogun is an awesome game in which you find yourself flying around a map, literally, shooting and dodging enemies. Your goal is to complete each level, save all the humans, and destroy the boss all without dying and collecting the largest possible score. And yes there is a leader board. So if you think you don’t care about high scores think again. Cause when you get your hands on this game and see all your friends highscores you are going to have a hard time putting the controller down.
First you must choose a ship. Either the Nemesism, Ferox or Phobos. Each of which have their own benefits. There are also 2 different game modes to choose from, Single level and Arcade Mode. Single level allows you to choose 1 of the 5 levels. Your goal is to complete it with the highest possible score. In Arcade Mode, however, you only get so many lives to complete all 5 levels. You must complete each level in order to move onto the next level and your score will continue to add up until you either complete all 5 levels or you die. You can also choose your difficulty setting which are Rookie, Experienced, Veteran, and Master.
At the end of each level you will receive a bonus score for various things. For example the more humans you save the better your bonus. You will also want to keep your eyes open for boosts in game. These boosts help you to complete your levels easier and can be speed boosts, overdrive and Nova Bombs.
Overall Resogun is one of the best free PlayStation Plus games I have played. It is also my favourite game currently available on the PS4. And even if you don’t have PlayStation Plus the measly 15$ for this title is a steal. It is more than worth every penny.

Now don’t forget there are also plenty of other titles available for your PS4 that are not exclusive titles like, Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassins Creed: Black flag, Madden 25, Fifa 14, etc. Another important reminder is to pick up a PlayStation plus card. If you don’t already have a PlayStation plus account you will need one for your PS4 to play any of the multilayer games you purchase. Now this is similar to the Xbox Live membership in that you need it to play multiplayer games but it is also so much better. It is 10$ cheaper a year, 49.99$, and provides some pretty awesome NEW FREE games each month for you play. And as long as you Download the game to your Hard drive it is yours to keep.
