NBA 2K17 MyCareer Demo and New Face Scan Begins September 8th

NBA 2K17 haven’t gone as in-depth this year in discussion for next month’s launch. But then again with Live on the backburner and rumoring to have something literally in 2017, was it really necessary? 2K year over year brings us the heart of the beast with highly noticeable changes and updates to the game mechanics, animations and MyCareer.

Put it in the books ladies and gentlemen, September 9th NBA 2K17 will be releasing a demo for the MyCareer for the first time ever entitled “The Prelude”. Just like 2K16 you start before the NBA Draft, just not as far back as high school. This year begins from college, and similar to the full game will include cutscenes and involve critical decisions, including a special call from a legendary coach.

“The incredible excitement during the first week of NBA 2K16’s launch showed us there was an opportunity to connect with even more fans prior to the formal release of NBA 2K17,” said Alfie Brody, VP of Marketing for NBA 2K.  “We think we’ve given our passionate community something special with this year, and can’t wait to see the response from not only existing fans, but new ones as well.”

If this isn’t enough to excite fans of the franchise, 2K Sports will have a new app called MyNBA2K17 that will allow you to upload your face scan via iOS or Android device. In hopes that it may work as efficient as NBA Live 16’s face scan app, we can possibly look for great scans with potentially better quality in less time.

The MyNBA2K17 app launches on September 8th, one day before the MyCareer “Prelude” hits Xbox One and PlayStation 4. With the app in place, will there be a need for the camera anymore?
