Injustice 2 Beta Impressions: Our Thoughts So Far

For those looking to find an answer to which fighting game is the must have this year, we can’t choose just one. However we can share with you exactly what we think of Injustice 2 having played the Beta. NetherRealm Studios is just months away from releasing Injustice 2 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and it’s time to breakdown progress.

The Injustice 2 beta allows multiplayer action with a choice of 5 characters: Batman, Superman, Super Girl, Blue Beetle and Atrocitus. Maps are scarce, though expected; only allowing Gotham City and Metropolis. Just as its predecessor each environment is eye-popping with incredible detail, also enabling you to interact with various objects and perform certain moves that allow you to knock an opponent from one environment to another. And as the original Injustice, It’s an awesome sight.

So what is the action like? Pretty close to the first Injustice as you can string together small combos, perform special attacks and wagers. The fighting did seem a bit sluggish at times though overall took a step in the right direction all things considered, including this only being a beta. Connectivity was great until it wasn’t as at times I found myself in a match with poor signal and a great deal of lag.

As for a small deal of disappointment Blue Beetle seemed to be the most used character online with players using a cheap, almost inescapable three-hit combo. Then again it could just be my excuse for losing way more than I ever won. Injustice 2 is promising a great deal of upgradable perks for each competitor as you level up and gain strength in different areas pending on your play style during each match.

As for now graphics weren’t as crisp in regards to character models, reminding me more of the Injustice: Ultimate Edition during gameplay. The opening scenes were breathtaking on the other hand which has me genuinely looking forward what’s to come this May.

Yes Injustice 2 better be on your radar this Spring at promises so much to look for
