Square Enix and IO Interactive in association with Gamestop have detailed the new pre-order incentives that will be exclusive to the Gamestop chain. Customers who pre-order Hitman: Absolution will receive the stand alone title Hitman: Sniper Challenge when the promotion kicks off on May 15, 2012.
Hitman: Sniper Challenege has no association to the main game, but is a stand-alone experience to reward fans who pre-order Hitman: Absolution. Players will take on the role of Agent 47 as he sets out on an exclusive assassination assignment. From a balcony overlooking a rooftop gathering, players will be tasked with taking out Richard Strong, Jr., CEO of Stallion Armaments, along with his entire staff of bodyguards. There are many opportunities to bank on including score multipliers, hidden secrets, unlockable equipment upgrades and several creative ways to dispose of a bodies.
Features include an online leaderboard which allows players to compare their sniping abilities with monthly prizes that will be up for grabs. In North America, the top sniper at the time of Hitman: Absolution‘s launch will win a trip for two to Copenhagen, Denmark where they will meet with the HITMAN development team and have their likeness incorporated into the next HITMAN game.
