Ladies and gentlemen we are back on the field for another year of FIFA. It’s officially been a full circle and the fans are geared up. With FIFA 15 being the second release on the new-gen consoles and seeing the massive improvement from Madden NFL 15 and the upcoming NBA Live 15, what’s new on for our football players.

fifa152Before settling into the main menus Marti Tyler and Alan Smith It introduces you to the Liverpool vs Manchester City championship game. It’s an amazing experience drawing me into FIFA 15’s gameplay before anything else. As I first started I found myself struggling with this being my second year trying a new jersey for review. But as I found my footing and thoroughly embraced playing as Liverpool, I took the title home.

FIFA immediately draw players in by showcasing its new camera angles and presentation. Even for the casual player controls felt natural. Never did I feel like I struggled from controls, just adjusting from testing the waters of Pro Evolution Soccer 15, which by the way may taste defeat this year when looking at overall gameplay.

Shooting felt more natural than last year as well. Player movement in FIFA 14 felt stiffer when playing offensively. This year however it was a smoother transition running across the field, passing and getting those quick inside shots, complementing the new goalie read and react system.

The only issue I have with FIFA and other EA Sports games is the Ultimate Team Cards. I get the concept, but after a couple years, I’m slowly beginning to feel brainwashed over Team Cards. It’s great of you want to create your own fantasy team, buying cards to personalize your experience. In addition you have the option of trading with other gamers from all over the world.

FIFA this year is much more impressive than FIFA 14 all-around, including the presentation. New animations and mechanics drive their tag “Feel the Game.” I especially felt the expression as my player when down harder than a tackle from J.J. Watts in the NFL. FIFA 15 officially earns the goal, move out the way goalie!
