Your favorite Wii game, Disney’s Epic Mickey is making another appearance. Set to be released some time this fall gamers will not only get to play as Mickey Mouse but for the first time ever you will get to try your hand at an all new character, or should I say new to the gaming world, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Unsure who Oswald is? Well he is none other than Walt Disney’s first cartoon star!
Created by Warren Spector and Disney Interactive’s Junction Point game development studio, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of two is returning to the Wii as well as expanding to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
In Epic Mickey 2 you will find yourself in an alternate world that is filled with 80 years of the forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. Unlike the first installment of Epic Mickey you are paired with a companion, Oswald in an all-new co-op option. Mickey will continue to use his magical paintbrush wielding paint and paint thinner, and Oswald will have a powerful remote control that allows you to control electricity. The co-op mode is pioneered by Warren allowing players to take on different challenges in an attempt to explore all the different possibilities as well as the storyline all while experiencing the consequences of their own choices.
All in-game characters will be voiced by voice actors including Oswald; whose voice will be heard for the first time ever. Not only will you get to experience new levels but you will also get to explore old levels from the original Epic Mickey further. But be warned even though these are original levels they have changed. Epic Mickey 2 is co-written by award winning comic book writer, Mary Wolfman and Junction Point. It is the first video game to contain a “musical” feel featuring songs all from original Disney inspired music. With this comes the ability to change the music based on your personal choices in the game allowing you to, in a way, create your very own soundtrack.
