Dishonored casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is being besieged by plague and ruled by an corrupt government armed with strange technologies, dark forces conspire to bestow upon you abilities beyond those of any common man.
In Dishonored, creatively eliminate your targets with the flexible combat system as you combine the numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.
With ease, this trailer alone has generated well more than a “buzz,” and story seems to be quite compelling. At first, the trailer feels like your being setup for a similar Assassin’s Creed. however, it then transitions into Assassin’s 2.0. There’s no blessings for the wicked here. As you watch a man plead that revenge will not solve nothing, you questionably prove him wrong and take his slice.
In Dishonored, you have the choice, as seen in the trailer below, of moving insanely fast, ghost-like and resisting combat, or ending everyone’s life that stands in your way. The ending result and direction of the story will play out based on your in-game actions.
We’ll be back soon with more information as it releases. Until then, check out the trailer.
Dishonored is slated for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in 2012. For more information on Dishonored visit www.Dishonored.com.
