Destiny 2 Beta Date Announced And Release Date Earlier Than Anticipated

Time to prepare the landing gear for Bungie’s new installment for Destiny, at least the Beta that is! For those seeking a time frame as when you can play the beta look no further than the month of July. Gamers who have preordered Destiny 2 and received a Beta Token for early access can expect to download and press start on July 18 for PlayStation 4, July 19 on Xbox One at 10am PDT, respectively. If you miss out on the tokens, which I don’t know why you’d do that to yourself, , open beta kicks off July 21 at 10am and concludes July 23 at 9pm PDT.

PC beta will launch sometime late August, right before the new launch date for Destiny 2, Wednesday September 6, 2017 for consoles and October 24th for PC.

“Everyone always says that they can’t wait for fans to get their hands on their game. But we really mean it. Destiny 2 looks so awesome, I’m thrilled to announce that we are moving the release date up to September 6,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. “We are also hard at work with our friends at Bungie optimizing Destiny 2 for the PC, which we will be releasing in all its glory on October 24. And tonight, we are taking a deeper look at Ghaul, our villain in Destiny 2, who the world is going to love to hate. It’s going to be a big week for Destiny fans.”
