Dead Rising 4 Review – Home Sweet Home

It’s not the night before Christmas but it’s definitely time to deck some skulls. Frank is back in Dead Rising 4 ready to send the undead flying up, up and away. Williamette is back to a high level of infestation with the undead and it’s up to you to kill them all, embracing and sending the zombies where they belong.

The story begins inside Williamette Parkview mall as Frank relives his golden days of reporting as an investigative journalist, slaying every zombie in his way. But it’s only a dream until one of his students, Vick Chu, tricks Frank into visiting a research facility where they find a handful of illegal scientist studies taking place.

It all began as a simple scope for a story at least that was the plan; get in, get out. Vick loses her calmness seeing everything that’s partaking sending soldiers and zombies there way.

Time flies with Frank pinned as a wanted man, wanted by the president that is to control the threat that is. And now with him back in Williamette the hell that’s broken loose has more hell to deal with.

The holiday horror is insanely addictive as there are thousands of victims to claim finding myself so many times slow pacing to campaign only to earn high kill streaks. There something about Frank character that truly creates a richer experience than the DR2 and 3. There’s plenty of action, plenty of humor and incredible amount of replay value.

There’s no way to control the difficulty level in Dead Rising 4, however the game keeps a steady pace, never becoming too much of a challenge with a wide variety of food throughout the city and weapons for the taking and crafting. Mobility is just as enticing as you will find many vehicles to ram the undead with, even merging weapons to them for maximum mayhem.

Franks camera has been modified by his student with a Spectrum analyzer allowing you to see hidden items and unveil prints to unlock various locked items/areas. Through the dark he’s able to utilize night vision on the camera, which is most helpful when investigating certain objectives, collecting evidence.

How you survive throughout Dead Rising 4 is entirely up to you as you level up and acquire skill points helpful for increasing health, gun range and accuracy, crafting abilities and weaponry combat. And with skills can’t help with vendors can. Vendors are all around with maps, weapons, vehicles and more that are available for purchase
