You know what the biggest success of Need For Speed has always been? It’s the thrill and exhilaration of owning the open road. Watch the cops appear in your rear view and disappear in a moment’s notice simply because the dust from the thread of your vehicle has made their world uncontainable. With that in mind, knowing that the XBOX One and PlayStation 4 will launch a new Need For Speed from Ghost Games (EA newest studio), the blood is beginning to boil. Need For Speed Rivals also plans to run on the new Frostbite™3 game engine. In need For Speed Rivals, you have the choice of playing as either a cop or racer, each having its own set of challenges, awards and unlocks, similar to Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. Ghost Games mentioned as well that on November 19th, 2013, for the first time in seven years, gamers will again be able to embrace of the Ferrari. F12belinetta to be exact. Spokesperson Stefano Saporetti, Head of Brand Operations in Ferrari added, “We are back in the Need For Speed franchise, starting with Need for Speed Rivals, as we want the fans of this world famous and award winning racing game saga to be able again to feel the excitement of the Ferrari Brand and cars.” AllDrive is also being introduced, a new feature allowing gamers to play with friends, transitioning from solo to multiplayer in seconds, without optioning you to choose multiplayer. A similar feature was found in Test Drive Unlimited 2 where gamers were able to meet up in a lobby and go from there to the streets. So only time will truly tell if Ghost Games has created a better method. Other features to look forward to are: · Next-Gen Racing – Redview County is brought to life with stunning, next-generation detail and weather effects that force drivers to master the elements, as well as the competition. · Need for Speed Network Powered by Autolog – Gamers can compare stats and challenge their friends anytime, anywhere and then easily share their accomplishments with both friends and rivals. · Personalization – Drivers customize their ride with fresh paintjobs, custom license plates, liveries, decals, rims, and performance upgrades. · Pursuit and Evasion Tech – Street racing explodes with 11 upgradeable gadgets including turbo boosts, jammers and EMPs for racers, and shockwaves, roadblocks and helicopters for cops. Again rubber will burn the concrete November 19th on the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360, including XBOX One and PlayStation 4 at a later date. VJPlatinumMore Posts

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was indeed a great release at the time. Myself and our great friend Jill Dembowski came together with our review for MW3 and gave it a decent 4.25/5, to only later regret it. In fact after a bit we found ourselves reverting to the original COD Black Ops. To us, this is Inifnity Ward’s opportunity to improves themselves and reform their identity to gamers all over. And without going to deep into gameplay or story, Activision has opened IW’s front door and told us what to expect, teased us with a trailer and designer works. So if you’re wondering what’s it going to look like, there’s a new game engine that is visually breathtaking to the average COD fan, and personally has me looking forward to “Ghosts” like a kid in a candy store.

So it’s official, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be on the next generation platforms, and reveal for XBOX. Coined the “XBOX One”, as in the One and Only, numero uno, one being better than two or three or four. Or maybe it just means ONE as in “ALL in ONE.” But I will let you be the judge of that. Fans of the Call of Duty series were probably expecting another Modern Warfare title, Modern Warfare 4, even though a growing number of fans have been calling for change in the series. And change we may just get. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said today during the live XBOX One press conference that: “We’re pushing the genre and forward with Ghosts. We wanted to press the franchise forward with a new world and new engine.” In Call of Duty: Ghosts fans will get to experience an all new game and new world run by an all new engine, giving this game some of the best graphics ever in the Call of Duty series. You can notice better graphics on characters and dogs, as well as on the guns. Let’s not forget about the self casting shadows; Not to mention better AI that will impact things as simple as fish moving out of the way and the improvements made to the dogs (like the stamp inide their ears). They won’t just attack enemies, but they will also sniff out explosives and so on. But don’t worry because this all new Call of Duty still has the same philosophies as all the others you’ve grown to know and love. Along with all these changes comes some implements to the multiplayer. And since the multiplayer is the biggest aspect of Call of Duty, these changes are vital. First things first. Call of Duty: Ghosts promises to be packed with piles of character customizations. More than we have seen in any other title to date. Whether this tickles your fancy or not is completely up to you. And honestly only time will tell how “I” feel about these character customizations. Call of Duty: Ghosts will have new dynamic maps that can and will be effected by the events as you play on them. Some events you will create by explosions and such and others will simply take place like earthquakes and floods. These events will directly change the maps. Call of Duty: Ghosts will release on November 5th, 2013 and will be available for the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3. It will also be available for the XBOX One and PlayStation 4, but as no release dates for these consoles have been announced the date is unknown. If you missed the XBOX One press conference be sure to check out the Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer below as well as some screens and a behind the scenes trailer. Microsoft press event trailer Behind the scenes trailer Medeiros83Lover of all things Geek!More Posts

Now is the time to be more amped than ever. The XBOX HAS BEEN REVEALED PEOPLE! Over the many years of XBOX, we’ve seen and heard of the number red rings and AC bricks. But the good of the console has done way more than outweigh the bad. The XBOX has today become hands down one of the most immersive systems for not only gaming, but entertainment as well. XBOX Has officially revamped the system to be everything it can be, which means it will allow you do to everything that your mind could process and more. Microsoft today has introduced the XBOX ONE. At first, I began to think that the title One is a very ridiculous name to come up with. I wasn’t so much digging “Durango” and sort of loved the “Infinity,” but One? It was until Microsoft painted the picture and showed us the product, something that Sony has yet to do. It is genuinely all in one. Yusuf Mehdi started the presentation of the system by interacting with Skype and TV. One of the most innovating concepts is the ability to switch over from gaming to television and television to internet explorer as fast as you can change a channel on your cable box. When heading back to the dashboard, the XBOX ONE remembers everything you done from the last game you’ve played to the last movie you’ve watched. The XBOX ONE also has a new feature called Snap Shot that physically allows you to add a second screen on the interface, granting multitasking for various selections. Watch a TV show while you surf the internet, or order tickets. It’s all done with a quick pan in, grabbing the screen and shrinking the size down for additional capabilities. Wanting to keep up with your fantasy teams? Whether it’s NFL, NBA, FIFA, you name it, by simply telling the Kinect to “show fantasy,” every score will immediately reflect on screen how your fantasy players are affected. It’s a huge win for gamers not just on the console, but fantasizing victories in various online leagues. Skype will play a huge roll THIS YEAR on XBOX ONE as you will now have access of group calling to friends and family through the power of Kinect. Watching television has just become a whole lot better. Simply saying “Show the Guide” takes you to a new world in XBOX. Simply name the TV show and watch it. If not the show then name the channel itself. Even telling the XBOX ONE to “Go Home” will keep the show rolling on your dashboard. How is this all possible? 8GB of RAM, Blu-Ray Drive and USB 3.0 is promising to make this system spark more than fireworks on the 4th of July.

The new Kinect was heavily mentioned, most importantly how the system will track more joints and movement than its predecessor, creating a deeper understanding of how you, the player moves. The controller also has new triggers and d-pad giving the gamer a better feel of what they find more comfortable. Yusuf mentioned that they listened to the gamers and personalized every enhancement “for the gamers, by the gamers.”

XBOX Live will now run under the usage of 300 thousands servers in comparison to the 15K it’s currently using. Cloud gaming and more, could possibly be more closer than we imagined. With a dedicated DVR, gamers will be able to find the “perfect” match when jumping on XBOX Live, finding their preference in competition. Hopefully more about this will be revealed come E3.

Andrew Wilson with EA Sports also stepped on the stage today introducing a new gaming engine, “defining sports at its highest level.” Key mentions were things like “human-like intelligence,” 10 times more animation and details” and how you can win with “true player motion.”

My response is “OMG! Gaming has NEVER looked as real as we’ve seen today from EA Sports.” Amazing details, smooth animations and mechanics; I’m truly excited to partake in what EA has to offer!

Other titles were briefly mentioned as well like Forza Motorsports 5 and Remedy Studios, developers behind MAX Payne 1 and 2, Bullet Time and Alan Wake, showcased a new franchise called Quantum Break.

Speaking of franchises, XBOX promised within the next year 15 exclusive titles, 8 of which will be new franchises.

Last was the huge new of a Halo TV series coming soon under the direction of none other than Steven Spielberg. All I can say is after today, gaming will never be the same again.
