In the gaming world today, music has come to play a big part in today’s hottest video games. Heck, we even have video games that allow you to make your own fantasy couch potato band. This is all well and good but I doubt you’ve ever played a game that made you better for the more intense the music your playing is! This is what makes Beat Hazard remarkable.
Imagine if you will Galaga. Now take Galaga and make it have kids with Geometry Wars. THEN, take their baby and when he grows up, give him a 24 pack of Redbull and a large dose of LSD. BOOM! Beat Hazard is made! What more can I say then this is a must have for you music junkies. If you’ve got a LARGE collection of music, you should be set for months on end.
A little video for your curiosity:
This is another great addition to how the game can play. ANY song can be used to play to and like I’ve said earlier, the more intense… the better the experience. Beat Hazard even includes support for 2 players, a survival mode, and even support for the Xbox 360 controller on the PC! Not to mention that RSS feeds will and can tell others what songs you have played and/or the rating and score! What more could you want? If the video above doesn’t get you excited, I’m not sure what does folks.
While we would like to give Beat Hazard a 5 out of 5, this game does seem very limited in the sort of enemies and does lack a few variables to add the ultimate finishing touch. You will be on this game for hours as long as you’ve got the will and song data to string it on. There are no doubts about that. So all that is left to ask is, why are you just starring at this screen when you could be getting this game for yourself?
Overall Score: 4.5 out of 5
