Episode two does not disappoint. With Batman’s identity on the line, TellTale Games takes the ante and ups it once again. Riddler was bad but he was just the start. You will need to do whatever it takes, even putting your own code on the line, to infiltrate and take down a vicious crime syndicate. Familiar faces appear in plenty with the likes of Bane, Harley Quinn, and even Mr. Freeze; the action was only getting started with episode 1…
As Batman you will be thrown straight at Bane for a brutal and interesting introduction. It copies patterns much like The Riddler to Bane with a strong opening featured around a notable villain. This time however you could say it cuts even more of the fluff back and gets to the interesting nature of it all quicker. That is also how one could describe the whole experience, “quicker”. There is a moment that slows down a bit but for the most part, you are having to make tough decisions on the fly and at a moments notice; it is a giant rush!
PREPARE TO EAT YOUR ACTIONS
Don’t think the things you’ve done in episode one or even the first Batman season will be pushed off so quick. As you will notice from episode one alone, you are being questioned about your actions with certain people from the get-go. Episode two with its lightning fast nature tests them even further than you could predict. If you haven’t made the best of decisions beforehand, you could easily eat your word and/or actions. This is the right direction for any game that handles itself on player choice and suspense; it possibly could not have been done better!
BECOMING ONE OF THEM
Honestly speaking, the story arch here is just too brilliant. Living the life of Batman and Bruce Wayne has never become so polarized and yet equaled. Sure, the trailer really gives off a lot of what this episode actually entails but the cliffhanger at the end alone is enough to keep you wanting more. Now that Bruce Wayne is a part of The Pact, how far will he go to stop it all? What will happen to the Wayne name he has worked so hard to make right?
