Batman: Telltale Series Episode 3 Review

Two episodes in and so far Batman: The Telltale Series has been an amazing new adventure as Bruce faces the same threats but from a different angle, through Telltale’s point of view. It’s not all about the man behind the mask anymore; we’re more involved with knowing exactly who Bruce Wayne is and how his life affects the city of Gotham.

bm2The first two chapters opened with the importance of Harvey’s campaign, the dealings with Falcone and Selena (Catwoman), as well as Oswald Cobblepot, an old friend that would love nothing more than to see Bruce killed. But with so much leading up to the political debate being sabotaged, so many questions will hopefully be answered in third chapter in this five part series “New World Order.”

With the reminder of Batman following your decisions make this game intriguing as there are many ways at this point the direction of the story may take you. The biggest decision thus far based on did you trust Mayor Hill or your friend; or who was saved in the final moments of the second chapter.

Based on our decisions episode three begins in the hospital due to the shocking ending with Cobblepot and Harvey. In a sense it forces your conscience of having to live with the decision as Batman and tormenting the life of Bruce Wayne.

Police officer Rene Montoya and Harvey Dent are currently on the Children of Gotham’s hit list as they look for a bm3way to take each of them down. Cobblepot’s men have managed to compromise the GCPD network and figure out every move, while Bruce deals with potentially being removed from the board of his own company.

But that’s only an appetizer as this chapter goes on to considerably being the best episode thus far. You encounter your biggest threat in the leader of the Children of Arkham as you engage in combat. Catwoman still plays both sides, only choosing what matters most to Selena, but later surprises Bruce in more ways than one.

And just when you think this chapter has done all it could it flips a coin and gives up the other side of terror with Two-Face and a deeper look into the Children of Arkham. Respectively Telltale could’ve ended it all right here for an exciting second season, but gratefully there’s more to come.
