Shoot Many Robots is headed our way on March 14th
March 13th, 2012Ubisoft has announced that Shoot Many Robots, one of its side scrolling, twin-stick shooter’s will be available for download tomorrow, March 14th 2012, on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Sony Entertainment Network.
The game which is developed by Demiurge Studios and published by Ubisoft follows a hillbilly called P. Walter Tugnut. He, like most hillbilly’s stockpiles guns, ammo, and beer in his old reliable RV, whilst awaiting the robot apocalypse. The robot apocalypse starts when an abandoned factory in the distance begins making robots on its own. Walter like a true hillbilly sets off in his RV on a robot-killing rampage, hoping that he will save humanity from the onslaught of robots.
The game will feature a single player mode along with an online four player co-op and a two player local co-op, this will give players the opportunity to fight of the waves of robots with some trusty companions with an array of weaponry that will leave players spoilt for choice. Along with weapon choice, players will be able to tailor their gaming style by equipping Walter with numerous different combinations of items.

Ridge Racer Unbounded Day One Edition Announced
February 10th, 2012With the upcoming release date for the next Ridge Racer title release approaching fast. Namco Bandai the publishers behind the game announced details as to what the preorder edition and special edition will contain. The new Ridge Racer game entitled “Ridge Racer Unbounded “, will come in a standard edition and a special edition form called “Day One Edition”. The day one edition will be available at the same standard retail price and will come with 3 extra cars and 5 new NAMCO paint jobs. The 3 extra cars are said to bring more wall-shattering variety and driving choice of the roster of cars already included in the game. The extra cars will be:
Along with these 3 additional cars the day one edition will contain 5 NAMCO styled paint jobs, one each designed to represent the leading game title releases and only available on certain cars. Those who choose to preorder the game from GAME stores or online at game.co.cc will get their hands on even more cars, with six killer cars lining up to smash their way into Shatter Bay.
This latest addition to the Ridge Racer franchise will keep to the tradition with turbo charged action and full environment and vehicular destruction, along with adding some new features. The City Creator lets the players design their own tracks and can share their creations with the online community. Along with presenting players with a new car selection that ranges from vintage muscle cars to sleek sports cars, players will be in a fuel injected rage as they take every alley and street corner in Shatter Bay with destructive racing.
The single player mode follows players trying their best to impress the leader of the Unbounded gang, Kara Shindo, and grow their street cred. A few modes of this include Domination Race; which encourages players to destroy anyone and anything, and Survival Race; where players are provided one car and one chance to avoid destruction to finish first place. Players are not only able to race in single player, they are also able to showcase their driving skills online against racers worldwide in a multitude of game modes.
Ridge Racer Unbounded is set to be released on March 27th in the US for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC.
2K Sports Releases Combo Sports Pack
February 10th, 2012The 2K Sports team, behind most MLB and NBA titled games, has announced that they will be releasing a new combo pack exclusively for the Xbox 360. The two titles that will be contained in this combo pack are MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12. Players can enjoy a range of sports in their homes for an affordable price. The pack will be available for purchase on March 6th, 2012 and will cost $69.99.
Those players who choose to purchase the MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12 combo pack, along with those who purchase the MLB 2K12 stand alone title, will be eligible to compete in this years $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge. This Challenge pits the eight finalists who throw the highest ranked perfect games against each other in a live tournament. Jason Argent, the vice president of the marketing for 2K Sports commented on the competition:

CAPCON Fighting Dance Competition
February 6th, 2012CAPCOM has recently announced its latest challenge. Those faithful fans of the Tekken and Street Fighter series have had plenty of practice at using Ryu and Cammy and know their moves inside and out. Well now CAPCOM wants fans to create a video on your most impressive fighting moves.
Entrants to the competition will be judged on their ability to recreate accurately some Street Fighter or Tekken moves and use a bit of creativity to put the moves together with the Street Fighter X Tekken track as backing.Judges will consist of a wide range of representatives from CAPCOM, the charity partner CALM and the dance crew One Motion. Judges will select those with skill to be shortlisted to two finalists, these will then battle it out LIVE at the final event.
The victor from this live event will be crowned the Street Fighter X Tekken Fighting Move Dance Champion 2012 and will see their routine turned into a film via professional filming. Winners will also win tickets to Move It 2012, which is held at London’s Olympia on 9-11th March.
The competition is in aid of the charity CALM, which aims to reduce suicide in men under 35, currently the biggest single cause of death for young men in the UK. So taking part in the StreetFighter X Tekken campaign you can help us raise awareness for CALM.
