Powered by the redesigned Anvil engine, Assassin’s Creed Unity is pushing crowd AI to the next level. Take a walk through the busy streets of Paris and you’ll quickly find yourself surrounded by up to 5,000 crowd members at once. The new crowd system is fully systemic, meaning each individual is reacting uniquely to the environment and to actions around them.
The lighting in Assassin’s Creed Unity is another feature touted by the game’s proud developers. The advanced reflection mapping, HDR graphics and volumetric fog features bring to life 18th century Paris to make the atmosphere both realistic and cinematic. Add to that the architecture, all of which have had entire teams devoted to designing the most famous buildings in Paris at a near 1:1 scale, and you’ll have an immersive experience like no other. From famous landmarks like the Louvre, the Palace of Versailles and the Notre Dame, you’ll be going on a tour of the ages while you’re hunting down your next kill.
