Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel Demo Impression

We’re just two weeks away from the two badasses known as Alpha and Bravo, both teaming up to wreak havoc and look good while doing it. These two risk takers know the danger they face and could care less who needs to be taken down, because the future is imminent.

As for now, the demo for the Devil’s Cartel has released on XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3. And for those yet to download it, yes, it includes co-op. There shouldn’t even have been a doubt there! Either play with a friend split screen over the same console or online,  it’s time to lock up and load out. However, if you’re just wanting to fly solo, that option is available as well.

You’ll be taken to the lobby for Narco Hell with $60,000 to blow through on weapon upgrades. Guns are fully customizable as well, including the option of testing out upgrades before making the purchases. As a fan of FPS’s, I personally love the option of attaching a Blind-Fire Camera, changing the character from third to first person.

As an important side note, there’s a video showing off the capability of customizing your operative.  If you had to compare customizations with another game, that title would probably be Call of Duty, though it limits you to your call tags. Army of Two grants you a wide variety of choices for your mask, giving gamers a more “meaningful” reason to show off their creativity rather than “Hey! Look at my logo I made after I kill you!”

The opening cut scene is brutally epic! It’s almost unreal how the first few seconds of video could draw you in so fast. If that isn’t even enough, Alpha and Bravo on the demo are none other than Big Boi and B.O.B., the preorder bonus for Army of Two.

Gameplay is nothing short than brilliant. If you’re for an awesome co-op experience, the Devil’s Cartel delivers! There are so many ways to earn skill points as you take down an enemy. Flank, decoy, headshots, surprise and more are just a few ways to collect points for what shall be explained in the full version.

In the demo, Alpha and Bravo will have a few opportunities to hold their own, while supporting their partner. The gaming mechanics works quite well for the fast-paced action that’s presented.

Overkill for now would be the only skeptical specialty that I’d question at the moment. The demo is very short to where there’s no way you can legitimately test the use of it.

The Devil’s Cartel looks just as good as it plays and plays as good as it looks! You surely need to try the demo for yourself to see exactly what is meant by that statement. It’s a mouth-watering, jaw dropping experience that is about to rock consoles.
