The blunder of Sega’s and Gearbox’s last Aliens title, Colonial Marines, left players disappointed to say the least. But developer Creative Assembly has taken the reigns of the newest game in the franchise titled Alien: Isolation, a throwback focusing on the horror aspect of the original film.
15 years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda investigates the Nostromo for the truth behind her mother’s disappearance while being hunted by a relentless and terrifying Xenomorph. With that being said this looks to play much like Outcast or Amnesia and not like the previous shoot ‘em ups in the series. The iconic motion tracker, including other tools to help you escape and access essentials are available, but as far as firepower, it lseems like your wit is the only defense against this Xenomorph’s cunning hunting instinct.
You’re outmatched and unprepared for the dangers that may lurk around every corner. You must scavenge and improvise to not only succeed, but to simply stay alive.
