In celebration of the past 50 iconic years of Bond lore, Activision has recently announced a new Bond game under the name, 007 Legends for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Being developed by Eurocom, the same guys that brought you GoldenEye: Reloaded, 007 Legends looks to take six of the most beloved Bond films and wrap them all into one giant gaming experience. Five of the six films have not been made known as of yet but you can look toward Skyfall (being the upcoming and most recent movie) to make a presence in the game. From what has been said, you can also expect a grand arsenal of Bond gadgets making a return as you use them to take down Bond’s classic villains and get all the girls.
In addition to the single-player experience, M16 Ops Missions will make a big return with varied mission from stealth based to action based. The use of gadgets is intended to be improved and more implemented in the return of the game mode. One new thing to note is the ability to play the missions from Bond’s foe’s side as well and see the events from two different viewpoints. The multiplayer experience also has plans to bring back 4 player local split-screen as well as online competitive modes. Expect new characters, new maps, and new weapons to fit the 50 golden years of Bond’s legacy.
This title is currently set to release sometime Fall of this year. Currently there has been no concrete release date set but expect to hear back from us in the future when we learn anything new. Bond fans will certainly not want to miss this upcoming title.
