A Couple of FREEKs, Infinity and Havoc Review

Precision never FELT so cooler! If you don’t know what I’m referring to, it’s two of the new hottest grips from KontrolFreek’s FPS series, Halo 4’s inspired “Infinity” and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 inspired “Havoc.”

It makes a whole lot of sense to play in style when you’re having the time of your life this Holiday season. If Master Chief is your FPS preference then “Infinity” from Kontrol Freek should be your immediate decision.

Now about 99% of the gaming world, including the people to proclaim to hate Treyarch and Infinity Ward, will own Call of Duty Black Ops II. However, that shouldn’t be your one and only purchase. The skull imprinted smack dead-center of a nuke symbol is the must have for any bad-ass wanting to not just win, but with more kills than ever before.

As I begin to touch on kills, the Infinity and Havoc’s literally increase accuracy and precision. I sat back for a second and played a game of both Halo Reach and Black Ops, respectively, and felt a huge difference. I for one was the game that snickered at games that used these type of peripherals. After snapping these bad boys over my controller, I went wild in game sessions. I saw a huge improvement on my accuracy when aiming towards or scoping enemies/opponents.

The 2nd most important aspect of the FPSFREEK’s is how comfortably they rest on the controller. When you snap one or both FREEKs on, pending on your preference, it raises your analogue just an ½ inch. Your first reaction by sight may be “is this for real?” But once you play a match with them, you will thoroughly enjoy the boost they give you. Though your thumbs are adjusted and lifted, it feels like that’s exactly where they were meant to be.

Now with these being designed for FPS’s, you can take advantage in Battlefield 3, Call of Duty MW3, Borderlands 2, or the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter. For the inexpensive retail price of $13.99, there is truly no reason your controller should be naked, especially when it genuinely enhances your gaming experience.

Overall Score: 4.5/5
